Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

We take privacy seriously. Our goal is to protect fertility-related data with a high level of care, transparency, and technical security. This page explains what data is processed, why it is processed, and how it is protected.

1. Who We Are

According to the policy text, M.I.S.S. GmbH in Murnau, Germany is the EU distribution partner of Valley Electronics AG, and Valley Electronics AG is identified as the manufacturer of Daysy and the provider of the DaysyDay smartphone app. In the Netherlands, the policy states that customers have direct contact with Patricia Dijkema through Daysy.nl.

2. Privacy Principles

The policy highlights three core principles: data protection and transparency for users, encryption and pseudonymisation on servers, and a commitment not to sell, share, or profit from user data. It also states that no personal customer data is stored without explicit consent and that stored data results from the user's own direct actions.

3. Website Orders

When you place an order on the website, only the data necessary to process that order is used, such as address and payment details. The policy says this data is processed only for order handling and is archived where required for tax and legal retention purposes, after which it is destroyed in line with legal requirements.

4. Data Stored in Daysy

The policy states that data such as basal body temperature, menstruation, and ovulation is stored in the Daysy device and used there to calculate fertility. It further states that this is a personal space intended only for the user and that automatic comparison with the server is not required for fertility calculation and therefore does not take place.

5. DaysyDay App Data

Users can actively transfer data from the Daysy device to the DaysyDay smartphone app. According to the policy, this data is processed only to display cycles and statistics in the app.

To transfer this data, the policy explains that Daysy servers are used. It states that sensitive data is encrypted and pseudonymised during transfer and stored on servers within the European Union. The policy further says that, even in the event of unauthorized access, the data cannot easily be assigned to a specific person because of encryption and pseudonymisation.

6. Customer Support Data

If a customer contacts Daysy with a question and actively shares data for the purpose of handling that request, the policy says the data is used only in relation to that specific request. One example named in the policy is a cycle analysis request handled by experts.

7. Data Security

The policy places strong emphasis on technical protection of fertility-related data. It specifically refers to encryption and pseudonymisation as central security measures for data handled through the app and server infrastructure.

8. Data Sharing

The policy states that the company does not sell, share, or commercially benefit from user data. It also states that the company has no interest in using the data for advertising purposes or collecting data beyond what is relevant to the product and service.

9. Data Retention

Order-related data may be retained where required by tax or legal obligations. Other data is processed only in line with the stated purpose, user action, and consent-based model described in the policy.

10. Contact

For privacy-related questions, users can contact Daysy through the Dutch contact point listed on the site:
